EGO’s Eid Arrivals made me look enchanting for the Eid Gala!

It took me a month’s time to construct the entire plan of the Fun Gala, finalize the location in the heart of Karachi, market the event, build a team, assign the stalls and lay out a complete structure of the event. The day was fixed in the first week of March, a cool spring day just as I had wanted and the plans were set to be executed. Honestly, before the event, amidst the endless meetings, work and home, I had hardly found time for myself but it was worth it. Big Pakistani brands like EGO sponsored us, and we finalized a contract with Atif Aslam for a concert during the fun fare! His voice is a feeling of nostalgia for us “grown up kids” who spent our youth healing through his music.

Amidst the joy of having Atif Aslam, and the busyness of the month, I had completely forgotten that I needed clothes!

“Me, too! I understand we’re busy but this isn’t something to forget!”, exclaimed my dramatic best friend.

“The event is tomorrow, we’ve still got today. Let’s just take out a moment and shop.”

“That’s the problem! We’ve got no time! How will I even choose the best outfit in a moment’s time?”

I laughed, because the feelings were mutual. You do not ask us women to select an outfit in a moment’s time. But, EGO’s New Arrivals in Ready-to-Wear had just launched, and I had taken a quick scroll through their website discovering stitched 2 & 3 Piece Sets in Printed & Embroidered Wear and I was relaxed! My troubles were soothed, and I knew where we were headed.

“Where are we going?”, my best friend bombarding me with questions.

“Trust meee! Just come along, and all your fashion troubles will be resolved.”

I and my best friend rushed into EGO located at Dolmen Mall Clifton, Karachi, and our eyes lit up seeing EGO’s Eid Arrivals in Ready-to-Wear fashion illuminating the store! In a split second, we had forgotten one another, the event and all the busyness of the day and dived into the collection displayed.

As expected, the fabric was premium quality, something EGO had never compromised upon, the cuts were fresh and perfect, and the print on the styles shimmered against the lights. The embroidery was delicate, an intricate work of art.

“Hand or machine-embroidery?”

“Both, Ma’am”, responded the courteous staff fellow.

I picked out as many ready-to-wear outfits as I could carry to the counter. After all, one has never shopped “enough” for Eid! There, I spotted my best friend getting her bill ready.

“Ten outfits in a total. Do you think mother would be mad?”, asked my bestie.

“No idea, we’re warriors! Let’s embrace it.”

The event was a success with massive crowds driving in. Numerous stalls were set up, selling clothes, accessories, art, custom-made products, food and drinks and much more, all women owned! My joy was full when ladies thanked us for providing them a platform to display their talents. The event lasted all day long and I wore a pink colored EGO outfit with flowery emblems, perfect for an Eid Fun Fare organized on a Spring Day.

“Pretty easy to spot the organizer in this outfit amongst such a huge crowd! Nice outfit selection!”, a friend remarked.

“Thank you, this is EGO!”

“Such a cool breezy garment, yet so dazzling! Is it a ready-to-wear?”, asked another.

“Yes, Ready-to-Wear from one of the leading brands of Pakistan. Try guessing?”

“Umm, EGO? Their Eid Arrivals are outstanding!”

Indeed, and ladies, that’s how EGO made it to yet another of my important life events!
